hedge trimmer on wma? - 10/30/09 04:41 AM

every year i have to recut my trail trough about 150 yards of briars to my spot on the wma. i make a long cut paralleling the road about 30 yards back from the road so i can go in from a different spot in a 50 yard range to hit my trail. not going in at the same spot every time keeps a trail from being formed where anyone would see it. from there i cut the trail on to where i hunt. i have a fairly quiet gas powered hedge trimmer that i would rather use than a machete. you see all that rain made the briars growthicker than ever before. would the game warden eat my lunch for using a hedge trimmer out there?

Yes he would. On the bottom of page 14 on the WMA regs I found this.

It is unlawful To damage or remove any artifacts, trees, crops, or other plants, dirt, gravel or sod without legal authorization.
