Crossbow scope

I need help with getting a better crossbow scope. Here is my dilemma:

At anything under 20 yards, the magnification is too much on a deer that I am only seeing hair in the scope. It is too magnified for close range.

Also in low light, its too dark. Im not talking about hunting after hours, but in the 45 mins or so left of shooting light. Its all shadows and dark bodies.

So, what scope has less magnification and better light gathering than the standard reticle scopes that you see on these today.

Loved the two Excalibur twilight DLX crossbow scope I have owned. Heard good things about Hawke crossbow scope too.
