Crossbow broadheads - 07/13/20 06:04 PM

Ok, having to make the swap this year to a crossbow - shoulder issues. I have not hunted with a crossbow in a long time and they have come a long way since that time.

Pull will be 150 lbs. 380ish ft/sec. Should I go with a 100 gr or 125 gr. What are decent options in either?

A 3in 125grn vortex is what I'd shoot, it should fly like a laser beam an with them extra crossbow ugga duggas...it will make a dang bloody mess..I shotem for years out of my compound...and as soon as I run out of all these free slick tricks I got...I'll start shooting them again...executioner is another head...same concept as the vortex but little heavier gauge aluminum..stupid sharp..just a little harder to tune...either of those heads will spell destruction for what's in front of them....big..wide profile heads...just nasty on critters.

I shoot swhackers out of my compound. How do those 150 swhackers do in the crossbow?

G5 Deadmeat 100 grain; very accurate and punch through is excellent out of my Parker Thunderhawk. Broadside shot on doe at 30 yards; she looked up and walked 20 steps and off to sleep. Never knew what hit her. Purchased in Cullman at Vann’s
