After 4 yrs of eating tags was finally able to kill this nice buck and got to experience it with both of my boys !
Have always hunted public walk in land ,we went on Oct.27th and left Nov 11th . Got to see all phases of the rut .
Not going to say I made a great shot ( gut ) but him and another shooter came in behind me and was a 40 yrd shot and late. Wasn't even sure of a hit but he was real aggressive scraping until I shot , then he would just walk 10 or so ft and stop for a while . I backed out and found him laying right where I last saw him .
