Well guys I've missed three mature bucks this year, ranging in from 130" to 140s. Missed two with my compound by the bow limb hitting the rail of my stand when I released the arrow and then missed the other day with my long bow. Today is muzzleloader opener in tn, I'm carry the smoke pole and my long bow. Maybe I'll redeem myself with either

Myself into getting ready, left the house with light rain, get down to the other side of town an be darned if it aint comming a dang flood i mean a straight turd floater! May be the first time i have ever gotten all the way to my hunting spot and turned around for home but im wussing out today! Good look to the guys hunting it out this morning! Sitting in an oak flat surrounded by bedding area. The rain had let up a bit for a while, falling pretty hard now.

Just had two does and two fawns cruise by me at 5 yards

Struck out this morning. It was fun getting out there, but I got sweaty on the way in, and by the time I was up in my stand, I was freezing. I need a new jacket or something, wind was cutting straight through it.

I'll probably go out this evening next to my house. Have seen lots of fawns moving the past couple days, hope I see a mom.

Nothin at lowndes this morning. Back home now for my sons 9th birthday. Good luck to everyone.

Still warm and muggy here. Gonna just keep preparing for the Bama/ LSU game and wait till tomorrow to take a stab at 'em. Hopefully this front will make it through here tonight.

Finally back in the stand. Sitting on a cut corn field/food plot hoping the deer have been laid up in the pine thicket to the west of me and are getting hungry now that the rain has moved out.

St. Clair county..... Almost puked just now. Had a 150in buck that haven't seen since September bedded 5 feet from my stand this afternoon... Made the long hike around so I wouldn't blow my wind over this point in case deer were bedded there. Everything's going great. Step 5 feet off the field and start to grab my pull up rope and he busts out the bushes 5 feet away. all I could do was watch and hope he tripped over a corn stalk and broke his legs so I could chase him down and stick him.

I'm sitting in the chicken house today. It's pouring here again.

Didn't see anything this morning, sitting this afternoon out due to rain.

Just smoked a doe at 41 yards she damn near did a flip . She went down 10 yards a way I couldn't tell if she got back up or not

My stand seat was soaked from this morning so I went to a spot that I had set up as a natural ground blind. I have never seen a bobcat in the wild, until this evening! Was about 10 yards away and never even looked at me. I thought about shooting it, but let it pass. Was super cool to watch.

30 minutes later, I heard the most terrifying noise, followed by said bobcat chasing a fawn 5 ft past my blind. Cool to watch, but also just about peed my pants! Those things are loud!

41 yards complete pass through both shoulders . Shot was a little forward . Was t going to take it but it was a perfect angle and she had no idea I was there .

Well I missed a nice 8 with a muzzleloader.... I have never missed 4 deer my whole life combined. Until this season, I have missed 4 nice bucks and killed 1 doe. I need a pick me up

Dang it man. You've had a run of bad luck this season. You'll get it turned around and headed in the right direction. Keep your head up.

Well I shot a big slick at about 20 yards knocked her down blood everywhere. Watched her crashed down about 20 yards farther away. Waited about 30 mins got down no where to be found. I dont know what happened but i feel pretty terrible

You'll find her. Don't give up.
