Anyone been since the thaw? Seen a post where a club as a whole zeroed at Wilson passed weekend or so… haven’t got to go but soon will break free.

Gonna find out over the next few days here on Guntersville. Going to be beautiful and I'm going to load up on some of them ole paper lips.

Went Sat in Tuscaloosa. Got skunked. To be fair we’d just come off like 5 consecutive days of rain, it was immediately following a front and the water was like chocolate milk. But I’d been couped up too long and had to get out on the water

No fish left.. mexicans caughtem all

Catching a good many in the lake at work.

They are shallow and chewing. Caught several 4 and 5 lbers the last few days

what kind of stuff are you catching them on, and on/around what kind of structure? I suck at bass fishing, in general, but especially winter bass fishing

Jig/chatterbait/spinnerbait in bank grass

Talked to a buddy a couple days ago that got skunked on Wilson without a bite. Said his son did the same the next day. They know how to fish that upper end well too.

I caught a 5 and a 6 yesterday and had around 22lbs but I was fishing one of the state lakes

Gonna try it for a while tomorrow evening ahead of the front and see how it is

Caught a few crappie today.. and managed to let the biggest crappie I have ever seen get away as I was about to lip her… she sat there under the surface for a second and sunk back to the depths

Spoke with a guy at the boat ramp yesterday. He had 12 nice crappie in his cooler. This was on Wheeler.

Caught them pretty good on Wilson yesterday biggest was 4lb smallie

We went Sat from around 8a - 3p (ish). Brought home 9 crappie between 11-13” and 5 bass around 1.5 - 2 pounds each. Threw back severa more crappie and a couple smaller bass. I know crappie have to be 9” to be legal but I usually don’t bother with them unless they’re 11-12”.
