I need one and don’t want to spend much over that. Would love to spend less. Any recommendations?

I have a diawa 7,6 that I got on sale for 59 that is light, strong, and very sensitive. I use it for punching. Most of there stuff is decent and not super heavy. I do a lot more flipping than punching. I used to have a shimano 7,11(the green ones) I found on close out a few years ago that was the best flipping rod I’ve used ever. I think I got it for close to 100. If you can find one of those and like longer rods that would be my choice. I since replaced that rod with a St. Croix for flipping.

Tackle Warehouse has a bunch of rods in its clearance sale, including Powell Rods that you may want to look at:

I'd go with a Powell. I've switched over to them for pretty much everything and love them and I believe Tackle Warehouse has them on sale.

I'd take a close look at Favorite Rods - they're super good people and the rods feel AWESOME!! If you want to pick one up check them out at Grabow's. Not sure what other places have them out yet. Simmons is supposed to be stocking them after the first of the year

I’d go to Shelton’s and get there lews rod I think it’s under $70 bucks it’s a 7’6 flipping stick and I’ve used it a lot this summer and I’m impressed. Right now it’s my rig rod and it does well. I’m pleased with it.
