Trap Stolen - 08/13/18 09:38 PM
Had several DP's out this weekend at the club. I had put one down next to a swampy area because of a lot of coon tracks in the area. Anyway, walk up to the tree and my trap is gone. Looking at the ground I notice a lot of blood and a bit of coon hair. I then noticed a large mark in the mud coming up from the water. On each side of the mark was the tell tell prints of an alligator. Looks like that sucker ate the coon and the trap! And to make it worse, no gator tag the last three years.
Surely you're not in Cullman.....

Man, that had to suck for the coon ... to see that coming and not be able to do a darn thing about it.

Could have pulled a bonehead move like I did this weekend. Stuck a prebaited DP in the ground next to a tree while I attached the second trap to a different tree. Then promptly walk back to the Ranger and leave. Next morning I had a coon and a missing trap.
