Aldeer Dove shoot. Head count and Info

Ok final head count. Add your self and crew. Add up total number and post.

Ok there will be no food here, so bring your own lunch and other Items. Bring ATV's if you would like.

Right now there are somewhere around the 150 to 200 bird range, but they are coming in more and more. So we should have some birds. BUT there isn't no guarantee, so we will hope for the best and expect the worst. There are some places that are less than 100 yards from the trucks, so I am going to reserve that for the older guys and younger kids. If you dont like that then TUFF. The fartherest walk from the truck will be around 300 to 500 yards. We will all try to park in the same area, just according on head count, but I will have the ranger with a trailer, to help set people out, to knock down on walking. Some will be o wood lines and some will be in open pasture with hay bale for cover, some will be in the back of dairy. There are no hot spots, once the shooting starts, the birds will be all over ducking and dodging. Main thing is safe distance apart. gonna be atleast 70 yards apart. ABSOLUTLEY NO LOW BIRDS!!! If that barrel aint up dont shoot.I really think this will be a fun and smooth, safe hunt. Birds or no birds, it should be a good time. Try to be here by 11:00 am, so we can get set up with plenty of time. Thanks yall.

OK directions.. From Wedowee go 431 north 10 miles, turn left on Co. Rd. 82, go 1.5 miles turn left on Co.Rd. 7, go one mile, then pavement turns into dirt, go another mile on dirt road, take the second drive to right on dirt road. There will be signs on 431 and other roads. Can't miss. From I-20 go 431 South and follow directions.

I don't think he will need the feed wheat a small donation should help him cover the expenses. Just think cost of a bag of seed and some to cover fuel would help out I'm sure. I know that helps when folks come to shoot at the house.

A work day on the opening of dove season?

My thoughts exactly, thats like getting married on the day of the Iron Bowl, or getting married during deer season.

No joke..... That's a work day I ain't going to.....

I was going to try and make it but they want to plant plots in tn this weekend so I am going to go and get this farm knocked out.

I couldn't do it. I would miss half of deer season for a good dove shoot. May have a chance to take a yekrut stick to some rainbow folks as an extra on this one. All joking aside without the obvious how will we know if we are not sitting by a aldeer member?

I was going through old pictures and found this from last year. This was our farm last year. We only allow 20 guns max and like to keep it around 15. There are 4 of us that have went together for several years and we thankfully have had a good shoot each year. I cook food for lots of folks who stop by before or during the hunt and my mother always has boiled peanuts and rice crispy candy prepared and waiting. I told folks early on that I was heading to another shoot this year. They moved it to one of the other guys farm. You cant see it in the picture but about 30 yards to the left of the pole the wire is unraveling, that would be my brothers spot. I guess the wire is just old!

I know there has been a couple say they would bring a bag of wheat to help cover Daniels cost. I think a bag of sweet feed for the horses or cow would be a better use money. Just a thought about what he may put to use more.
