Mexico Hunting Lease - 06/28/16 10:49 AM

I have 2 more spots available for the Mexico lease for 2016-2017 hunting season, We were 100% on deer scoring over 145BC last year and I anticipate the same result this year. If your interested send me an email.

How do you score a Mexican? grin

Just kidding. Sounds like a heck of an opportunity.

I think they use Mezcal and Quervo system for scoring below the border. It's how many empty bottles you can hang on the antlers multipled by the number of cactus thorns you got in your britches while tracking minus the number of rattlesnakes you nearly stepped on during the hunt... Paging TROX for verification. LOL!

What part of Mexico?

I'm not so much as interested but curious, how much are dues for a club in Mexico?

Re: Mexico Hunting Lease - 06/29/16 09:11 AM

$4,500 per year

Re: Mexico Hunting Lease - 06/29/16 09:58 AM

Is that ranch just absolutely huge? Or a high fence?
Sounds like there is some really nice deer on the property but wow that's a lot of money and quite a hike from Alabama.

35,000 acres all fair chase

What all can you hunt? $4,500 is steep for a deer hunt or two a season but depending on what all is included in the lease it may be a deal.

How many members?
Lodging on property?

Lodge on property
6 members
1 per membership

So $4500 gains you access to the following:
Be 1 of 6 members
Hunt 36,000 acres.
Harvest 1 buck
Lodge

Am I missing anything?

Damn and I thought $3-5,000 for a bama club with three bucks some does and turkey hunting was ridiculous. slap

Guys, I have no dawg in this fight, but it's Mexico, over 30,000 acres, with a lodge. Personally, although I can't afford to pay that much to hunt anywhere, I still think that's a dang good price for what you get. Price a gun hunt in the Midwest and see how much they are. If you're not interested or think it's too dang high then why comment at all?

That's what I was thinking! For that size buck look at Texas and see what it would cost you! You are almost guaranteed a 145"+ and have a chance at a once in a lifetime deer! Plus you see HUNDREDS of deer!

Matt, I had the same thing happen with my post on the turkey forum for filling our turkey membership. I don't know why people who aren't interested at all insist on negatively addressing a post, all that does is make it harder for the OP to be successful. I think as hunters, we are kind of all in this together and should hope for the success of everyone. But at least it keeps the post fresh I guess lol Always appreciate your insight Matt!

People that have negative comments about this post are probably just upset that they can't go. I was just making it available to anyone that might be looking for a good place to hunt outside of Alabama

It's called jealousy and there is lots of it around here.....

Good luck filling your spots.

Sounds like a great hunt Zac, I was definitely interested in joining until my wife and kids put the smackdown on me traveling to Mexico for fear of a gringo beheading. Good luck filling your memberships, and I agree a 140-150 Texas hunt is going to cost you at least that much.

Cartel is not a problem, mostly what you see or hear on the news is not accurate. But I understand

Re: Mexico Hunting Lease - 06/30/16 11:49 AM

How do you handle trip timing and number of trips? Say, someone was determined to kill a 160" +...could they make multiple trips to hold out for a big one?
