Best time for deer leases

Does anyone know what time of year is the best for when leases become available? I live in Lee County and am thinking on getting a lease in Randolph or Chambers county but was wondering if something closer might come available. I've never leased in Alabama before and am new to the process here.

check the post at the very top of this forum. Plenty of sites with leases. Be prepared to scratch off a nice check.

Thanks gents. Just retired from the Army and looking to get set up well before the season starts. Got 2 other buddies looking to go in with me. If y'all come across something nice please steer me that way.

You're headed the wrong direction from Lee county. Stick to Russell, Barbour, Macon, bullock, tallapoosa. It's mo better

Stay in Lee or go south to Macon, Bullock, or Russell. I would not entertain the idea of going West or North, although the leases may be more economical. The hunting is not as good.

Thanks to all for the advice. We will continue to see of something comes up in Lee, Macon, Russell or Bullock.

See if you can make contact with someone at Dudley Lumber Co. They own a lot of land around that area. I know they lease some out but I never see them advertise it.

Most of it leases by word of mouth. He subleases a lot of it to a couple guys and let's them handle it as well.

Call John Tucker at Dudley. Chances are he doesn't have anything available that's any count, but he's the go to guy there.
