I don't shoot mine much because it takes me forever to clean it. But every year I do one session at the range before the season, alternating shots with it and my 700 .308. The .308 is a little more accurate and consistent. If I let the barrel cool a lot between shots it is a moa gun. The ml is more like 1.5".
That oughta give you a good comparison with the same shooter and exact same conditions. I use the 175g Red Hot bullets and have killed about 10 deer with it, all complete pass thrus and one shot kills. Longest shot I've made is 220, but I'm sure it would make clean kills much further.
I thought the ml world would focus on .45 guns like this, but the .50s remain more popular. I really don't understand. To me, the opening day of gun season is the first day of ml season. I don't feel any handicap at all carrying the ml instead of the .308. It is much heavier and a much bigger hassle to carry all the gear, but when it comes time to shoot the deer it doesn't make any difference.
