Found a good Rub and scrape today

I'm a newbie so wondering exactly how I need to approach it/ hunt it? Do I need to pour code blue in it or around it ? Also set my stand up around it ?

IMO dont get too hung up on it. Most are hit at night and for every one you find there are 50 more you dont. If you can set up a camera and actually catch some daytime movement on it from a mature buck with any kind of regularity then maybe give it a try but otherwise hunt where the does are.

Build a high fence around the property
Spotlight
Lots of corn
Some of that rub slime stuff
Pee in the scrape
Ballistic tip ammo
If bow hunting, make sure you have good arras

In Jackson breeding should be rockin', little late for hunting scrapes IMO. Hunt the does, near thick bedding areas . If there are scrapes in the area fine but they don't mean alot now, the time for scrape hunting has passed.

Thickets next to white oaks=does=bucks.

I don't often post anything, but try to gleen good deer hunting tips when available. I am amazed at the juvenile tendencies of some. I've seen "got to have thick skin to be here" much more than calling down those that post middle-school comments. Just a thought for the forum: how about when somebody says they are new and trying to learn, everybody try to help them out instead of ridiculing like a 13 year old? I probably should just not say anything and stay a quiet observer, but really, is this really what this whole forum is about? It's like a society of "in kids" that want to embarrass and ridicule the new guy at school. Do we want to expand and educate new hunters or alienate them? The government is doing enough to prevent hunting, shouldn't this forum be about inviting and helping new people? No reply necessary, just something to thing about for future posts and comments.

Most scrape activity happens well after dark. Find some does and get to know them and be around them as much as possible. Find one with a dirty butt and stay with her all day.

Dang it I missed it. Well my .02 worth then. Don't worry about the Scrapes hunt the Cock Suckers (Does) . The buck will be were the does are so hunt feeding areas or close to transition areas there will or should be scrapes in all these areas.

I just put a stand in an area with a string of scrapes this morning. This thread did get a little nasty but you just have to learn how to return fire. Rhino skin and elephant balls. Just have to walk away some times. I know bucks are looking for does but the does might be were the scrapes are. You just gotta go and find out.
