Unusual sighting - 07/24/14 07:30 AM
Last night along Hwy 150 between Hoover and Bessemer, I noticed a deer on the side of the road. It had a single spike on its left side, about 8 or 10 inches long. It was a little bit longer than the deer's ear.
There was no velvet.
Any chance it could have been a doe with an antler?

I once watched a hawk try to grab a turkey one time up in Coosa county. Got it about a foot off the ground before it lost it's grip.

My point was that I found it very unusual to see a deer in the month of July that was already out of velvet, and could that possibly mean it wasn't a buck after all.

I thought I saw Sasquatch fishing the other day. I slowed down and looked and it was only Shootnmiss with a canepole!
