How do these deer in North Alabama move when we get some snow on the ground?

They move plenty good, plus you can find out some things you never would know without it on the groung

Snow up north in North America is one thing. Snow in Alabama is another.

Snow in Alabama scares them and makes them take cover from my experience. I used to think it would be easy to hunt them in the snow. NOT!!!

The few times i hunted with snow on the ground i didn't see a thing.

You can learn more in a day when snow is on the ground than you can in a whole year of scouting.

way its been for me . best way i know to hunt it is to find a spot where i can cover a lot of ground and hope .

I usually don't get to hunt, when it snows, I get to WORK instead.

But, I have had a couple of opportunities, to hunt with a light dusting of snow, over the years, and I agree the deer in Bama don't understand it.
It is not a good time for still hunting.
It's a great time for stalk hunting.
You can kick 'em up, track 'em and see 'em forever.
Plus you'll gain more scouting knowledge, in one day, than you can get in an average year.

out back what i do is hope some one kicks them up for me . i'm heavy and the crunch of the snow gets them up way ahead of me . more or less i try to use other hunters to run deer to me lol

well I found out they move, Hunted the disabled hunt on Hytop and at 4:45 shot me a 140lb 8pt , hocks are not yet black but fluffed out and starting to stink,so its getting close.

can't figure out how to post pics, anyone can help

They do whatever all other deer do in the snow, eat , walk, run, etc., I have taken several in the snow, it makes tracking a lot easier.
