Sittin and wishin myself

Sittin in some select cut pines on a ridge looking down in a creek bottom. This mornin is just like huntin at home In Louisiana hot muggy foggy south wind skeeters water dripping off trees. Dam I love huntin.

70 degrees before the sun is up....now this is what south alabama hunting is all about lol

Rain before daylight and mosquitoes like crazy

I've already killed plenty of skeeters. There's just enough wind so the thermacell doesn't make a cloud around me.

Sitting in some pines between bedding and a couple food plots where alot of nannies have been using. Hope one leads ole sad daddy by on a morning stroll. Already heard a few shots, now its my turn.

Just smoked a yote at 20 yards. Hope it doesnt ruin the rest of my hunt

Just shot a decent 8....

I'm up a tree on one of my creek stands here in Dallas Co. I'm still toting the bow wishing a sad daddy would walk in range. I had a really big 6 pt cross the road in front of me headed into an area I have another stand. I'll probably go there this afternoon as this is no ordinary 6 pt. Siting here on shooting house overlooking green fields wishing i wouldnt have been so lazy, should have carried my climber into the woods.

Fog just turned to rain here in Monroe co. and cooled me off a lil bit

Just had a nice 6 pass on a fire lane behing me. Gonna b a nice one in a few years.

Taking today and tomorrow off. I'll be back at it Thursday. Had a good one come from behind yesterday only to present me no shot.

Nice looking spot gator. I love hunting road crossings like that.

Im gonna let y'all have it today. Gotta powdercoat a bunch of parts before this rain hits. Depending on the wather tomorrow, I might be in the woods tomorrow evening, then fo sho all day long Thursday

I thought I had a chase in progress but I only saw one doe come from area of running. There were other deer running around over that way so don't know where others went.

Wind switched up on me so i had to relocate to a swamp bottom. Bumped a doe moving. Its muggy in chambers county and movement is slow

I just had a doe come hauling butt by me. A few min later I hear another deer coming and grunting every breath. I get ready and its another mature doe trailing the doe that just ran through....LEASIBIAN

Settled in on a power line for a mid day hunt. The wind is whipping but here goes nothing. Same spot I killed a 3 point sunday. Scrapes everywhere so you never know.

Just got through digging through my closet to find my Thermocell before heading out! Sad day when you need a thermocell to hunt in Jan lol

Dam that woulda hurt. Sittin in my climber in some big open pines and a branch just fell from bout 50ft up bout 30 yds away.

Cutover to my right, road in front of me & food plot to my left. Hoping I can get the job done today on the big 10 we have on camera! This is one of the joys of being a nurse...work 3 12 hour shifts a week, then hunt the rest while my husband works

Just got in my spot about 30 minutes ago. Camera had deer activity all in the day light just no bucks. Hopefully they just didn't walk in front of camera. Gonna be fun slinging an arrow in this swaying pine.

Been settled into my afternoon spot for 30 min and its freaking hot!!! This is the area the big 6 was headed when he crossed the road in front of me this morning. Maybe he will cruise through before dark but I don't have much faith due to the heat.

Got in at 3:00 and yes it is hot! Got five turkeys in the plot now..

Let see I've been hunting since Friday and the weather has sucked the whole time so has the hunting. As of now I've only seen deer 2 outta 10 hunts. Ruts over in Bibb county combined with heat and a full moon equals minimal deer movement. Have to go back to work tomorrow which just sucks cause of course after this storm rolls through by about 9 tomorrow morning the last day and a half of season are going to be perfect! Maybe ill get lucky tonight so ill quit whining.

Another dang turkey.......

Just made it home. I've just sat down and am live form the recliner. No deer today.

I probably didn't sit five times all year without seeing something but it looks like my last hunt this year is gonna end that way. Oh well. Them rabbits gonna catch hell this weekend hopefully.

I ended up shooting a six point that crossed the road down from the plot. Not what i was looking for but I am happy none the less!
