Hunting with a buddy today in lowndes county setting a 1 year old clear cut. Maybe 1 will come through. Good luck fellas

On a rough power line. can see almost 300yards to the next 2 ridges over.

Only got a little while to sit. Really just listening for turkeys.

FOG !

In the National Forest. My Son-in-law is 1/4 mile from me trying to get his first deer.

Less than 50 yards visibility where I’m at.

Fog just lifted in southern Greene County. Had been watching a yearling and spike feeding, but they left when the fog did.

Saw 4 does early then 4 more around 8 followed by a 3 point

Had a Bobcat slip in behind me. Got bout 20 yards before I saw him. No way to get on him that close. They are stealthy. They really move in fog and drizzling rain.

Still at it in lowndes county with my buddy. Setting a little plot that had a shooter 9 point on it at 12:45 today. Maybe he will make a loop and come back out. Good luck fellas

Got in about 140. Sitting in a shooting house on a split double food plot with a feeder surrounded by pines and an SMZ. Usually has a lot of does and hoping 1 or 2 are hot. No cameras so hoping for a surprise. With 5 deer in the freezer or at the processor, I’m done meat hunting.

Had two spikes and a doe on the field between 12:05 and 1:20 pm.
Back in the shooting house with my buddy on the other end.

Back at it this afternoon. Different shooting house across the creek on the farm . Only decent food plot I have since I planted so late because of the drought. Have sit it 4-5 times and only seen one deer . Young 6 pt that I hope has made it . Creek to my left , planted pines in front and hardwoods to my right . My neighbor has a couple of feeders and keeps them fed . Hoping I catch one headed to supper .

One spike, stayed in field from 5-5:30 and then went to the neighbors.

Ended up seeing 5 does and 2 spikes.

Me and my son Fixed the neighbors mailbox where pops backed over it, then we threw football and he and I fixed dinner on the grill. Great afternoon!
