I’m in the shooting house here in Monroe county. Only hunted this spot one other time. Good little rain this morning. Hopefully they will move. Who else is hunting on this last day?

Been a hectic week with my Dad's passing and funeral yesterday. I wanted to hunt one last time this year. I'm in my SH at home this morning. Seen a spike so far. Just feels good to be here, sit quietly, pray, meditate, and think on some things.

Through it all, one thing I know, God is good, all the time.

Going this afternoon but went to check some traps at my son’s place and seen the best buck I have seen all year! That’s been my luck this year.

I drank the weatherman/ weather app Kool-Aid and the predicted washout this morning kept me from driving an hour to hunt. Didn't rain, but didn't go, so maybe it wasn't in the cards anyway and I saved some gas $$. Leaving on out of town trip at lunch, so afternoon ( NOT NIGHT as the TV hunters say) is out.
What BHAM FRED says - about forecasts- FK'EM from now on.

Had a great season in spite of weather and schedule challenges. 8 pigs and a good buck.

Had some real upsets this year but kept on after em. Was lucky to get this 6pt this morning! 73 lb pack weight.

Hung it up after last weekend. Any buck that has survived in Jackson County needs a break ! Going to take my two oldest grandsons fishing . 5 year old doesn’t need paw paw’s help . 3 year old and I will team up . I’ll cast he’ll real it in . Maybe we can catch something !

Back in same stand I liked the 8pt in a week ago and Janet’s son got a doe in on Sunday. I’d rather hunt another place but wind is wrong for my other options. Just over 3 hours left in the season. I saw a doe running down county road at 2pm. Good luck to all.

Back in Macon County with my son on the same field Becky and I hunted yesterday. There was a broke off buck on the field when we got here.

Brought my 5 year old daughter with for this last sit… pretty sure we have as much luck of killing a triceratops as we do seeing a deer

Something better happen soon or I’m gonna get skunked and the limit won’t matter! Seen about 8 but they all across the line about 400 yards. They got a spin feeder that went off at 4pm.

Back in for last hunt…was planning on a stand on the creek until I came and checked a camera that had over 500 pics on it from the last two weeks!! So now I’m sitting in a ground blind watching a pasture that a buck has been in the last 2 evenings. Need a slump buster, been a couple years since I killed one.

Was going to the club but it’s a muddy mess and I usually like to sit for the last evening here at the house with one of the kiddos. They are all in the Zero category of interested so I’m solo. Last year last day was a giant bobcat. Hoping for better this round. Good luck men!

Congrats man! That's some hardcore drive to kill a deer. Yeah, you've had a season from what I've read on here. Way to keep after them!

Good afternoon. Saw 5 bucks and 4 does. One was a nice 3 or 4 year old 8 point with a broke off G2. It saved him because my son decided to pass on him. Another great looking young buck that should be a stud. Had one come out fast and low like a cruise missile chasing does at last shooting light. We couldn’t tell much about him.

Just got him home and cleaned up, hadn’t had pictures of him in almost 2 months so I figured he was dead and he showed back up a few days ago at 4:30 in the morning, then again this morning around 5 am so I figured I’d give it a shot and dang if he didn’t show up right at dark! Thankful to get him and I’ve never killed one this late in the season. He’s one of them that actually looks better in person than he did to me in the trail cam pictures and of course wildman had to get his pictures too!

I can't believe I didn't shoot a single deer this year, but other things were more important.
I did end the year with an unexpectant hunt with a friend and we saw a few does, and ended the season with one less turkey killing machine.

The season went fast this year.

Got a buzzer beater doe with 15 minutes left in the season. I’m worn out. Glad the season is over and looking forward to planning next season. Time to catch some crappie now. Congrats on the kills today!

Freaking awesome buck SJ! 3 of us hunted some awesome looking spots yesterday from dawn to dusk. Miserable out there in the rain. I was the only one to see any deer, a group of 7 does right at dark. Worst day of the season. On the plus side my dad took out my little brother at the house and he got him his first, a big-bodied spike. I pulled the jawbone and he looked either 2 or 3. Happy for him. That's 8 deer in the freezer this year. We're set for awhile.
