Need info.. Gallant in Etowah county

When is the rut around this area? How is the deer population?

Mid January till end of February....average population not a lot and hard hunting but may kill a good one...

Where I lived up there you could bout count on week after Christmas till mid January as the time

My buddy’s family is from there and he bought some of the family land to have a cabin and a place to get away.

It's worth hunting, like everything else in life, it don't come easy...I've seen giants come from here140s-170s...just not many

Honestly depends where at in Gallant. One end has a good number and other, well it's sucks to be blunt. And JB is right about the rut. Typically what I've saw is very late January into February

End of January, I’ve killed 2 good ones in that part of Etowah co. One was on January 22 and the other was chasing does on January 28.

At least he says he has. LOL
