We found one. Son shot what he said is the biggest hes ever shot. Gut shot is my theory. Were gona go after him after church.

Got alot to pray about. I feel good about it. Alot of blood. We probably went too far with it. Just kept expecting him to be over the next log.



He thinks its this deer. I asked him first thing how he felt about the shot, he said "good but might have been a little bit too far back". We found what smelled like some stomach contents on a leaf about 75yds from where he shot it. Im thinking gutshot. He usually knows what hes talking about pretty good for a 13yo. I hope what he remembers turns out to be right.

Deer was in a creek. Dog jumped him, ran him what felt like 100mi straight up a mountain. He eventually won the race. It sux but thats part of it. Pretty sure the deer will live. Thought for sure at one point i was going to die. Joseph learned one of them hard lessons today. He'll get the next one.

I hate that, but it as you said, it was a good learning lesson for him.

Dang hate it, checked in tonight just for an update on this thread. Tell Joseph we’ve all been there and I was in the front of the line,

We ran one for miles and miles in Grant this morning before he gave up. Then we went to Boaz and had a short bay catch dispatch. This track right here whopped me and my dogs. Got a guy above the state park begging me to help now and I don't think we have it in us. Supposed to be a dang monster to

Johnv and his dog put forth a valiant effort. There was a time John was running up a pretty steep hill, i thought for sure i would have a heart attack. My 13yo son could barely keep up with him. Great guy. They did a great job. I appreciate it very much.
