First couple weeks of Jan seems to be the standard I'm hearing. Any other advise?

Louisville area is Jan 27-and beyond. GW in that area says either side of 15th, but I have never seen any evidence of real chasing/ bucks locked down with does that early. Been that way since the 80's. Given the population we have in our area, we never see a real rut anyway- too many does. Maybe in a place in Barbour co where the ratio is much tighter, things are different.
I killed a wide racked, 215 pd deer last year on Jan 24th following a doe @ 6:20 am. Only time I saw anything slightly resembling rut/mating behavior on our place... and I hunted hard rest of season.
I hunted in Barbour county for about 15 years, mainly north and west of Clayton. They had had a lot of different deer stocked and the mingling of genetics had them rutting all the dang time.
