Tracking dog around Dallas County - 11/30/18 12:15 AM

Will pay for anybody with a tracking dog close to me. Shot a big thick bodied 8 point this evening, and had to back off tracking him because of daylight and not wanting to push him. Big, fat, old, and kinda lazy buck to be honest. Damn near perfect shot.I heard the round thump em from across the field. He went down hard but got right up and hit the hardwoods where he came from. It's just me down here today so I dont have any extra eyes to help me with the search. I was hoping to be dropping him off at Ken's in Autuagaville right about now but today just hasn't been my day. Let me know if yall know anybody around these neck of the woods who'd be willing to assist.

Look at the top of the serious talk forum page and you’ll see a thread with trackers, names , territories and phone numbers listed. Good luck and keep us posted!

Re: Tracking dog around Dallas County - 11/30/18 05:06 AM

Alright so my uncle and the old fella John came out. We started where I lost blood the first time
The little old gal did well after having to warm up it seemed like. We got back on the trail and came up to a small creek bed where it looked like the buck laid for a good while. Nice size puddle of blood mixed in the mud. After crossing the creek bed, we lost blood again but found a small amount near the pond and our property line. That last blood was on the trail leading right to the pond the deer always use. The dog came up to the pond and looked like she got anxious. Both those fellas are positive the buck jumped into the pond after I pushed him the first time. I was already hot and frustrated with myself. I said my thanks and hit the road back to the city. Damn good looking little beagle that guy was running. I hate he doesn't do computers/cell phones. He would be a funny old fart on here. Going to bed.

Why come on here asking for advice but then going and doing what's not advised? I'm sure that beagle had fun getting out to play. Smdh

It's amazing we do this every year. I need a good dog post, then disregard all the experience we have had with good dogs and the OP says well my buddy brought his lab out etc. Mind numbing

Re: Tracking dog around Dallas County - 11/30/18 03:15 PM

Not knowing the situation, or the terrain, I'm just guessing if he wasn't floating in the pond he likely came out somewhere. Still a chance to find him today, but not likely after the rain this weekend.

Re: Tracking dog around Dallas County - 11/30/18 03:19 PM

257,you're right. A-hole. But after having to go back to the highway to get cell service and tired of waiting up there for call backs, I figured I'd ask you guys for help to see if yall knew anybody who'd be willing to come out there. By the time I got service to get back on this site and saw the guy yall mentioned, they were already en route. Didnt find the buck last night because the dog lost em at the pond. Anyway, I found the rascal at 75 yard on the opposite end of the pond at the tip of a woodline. I'll post a pic of em when I get off shift this evening. Thanks for the reference. I'd love to meet Art soon.

Ole 257. Do you not have a full time job, dumbass? Are you retired or something? I work 12-14 hours on my work days and don't have time to get on the net all hours of the day. Send me a phone number to text and you upload for me? Sorry brother, trust me when I say I'm a bigger asshole than you are. Now PM me your number so you can upload for me, or just STFU.

James, southwood7. You two must be cuckolds that enjoy watching other men pleasing your wives because yall lack the equipment. I'm willing to bet yall might be butt buddies, acting like little sissies. 😂I'm going to assume you guys are just giving me heat just for the helluvit. You cannot be serious. My goodness guys. Not that I have to explain anything to you dipchits, but like i told 257 in text msgs, the deer never even crossed the damn pond. The dog went clueless at the pond. And those guys figured he went in. I went back the next monring at first daylight and found him on the opposite side at a woodline, which was way off their normal trail. Pull the metadata and whatever else you need to float your boat. I frankly dont give a flying puck. To the guys who said congrats, thanks. To the asshats and chitheads, PM for details on how to properly go phuck yourselves. 😏
