Elk meat - 10/07/18 10:51 PM

Headed to Colorado this week for a hunt.

Does elk meat/skull fall under the same importation regs as out of state deer meat?

It use to have to be from a CWD zone, but now I think they all fall under that umbrella.

Abb, know you are on the road. Still say, shoot the first good cow you see and you won't have to worry about cleaning the brains out of the skull. Can't eat them horns anyway. Bone out the meat and remember to leave proof of sex on at least one hindquarter. Good Luck, dan

That was my plan but I never got a chance. My buddy got a nice 5 x 6.
A storm rolled in over the weekend and had us hunting in -6 degree weather. Even with that misery it was a good trip in some beautiful country
