Jackson County. Biggest danged deer in the state ... Smartest too

Winston Co. I hear they have the biggest deer and easiest to kill

And a special pre-season hunt.

any of the old growth hardwood swamps along the Warrior/Tombigbee/Alabama Rivers. Places where you can shoot 200 yards thru the huge old Oak trees.

Mountains in NE Alabama without a doubt.

Not only is that the most beautiful part of the state it is also the most challenging hunting.

Jackson County. Thats where all the deer are...Ive heard.

Just kiddin..Ive never hunted there..but I must admit I prefer North Alabama and agricultural land.

I love hunting our land in Perry co.I have been in that club for 23 years and know every nook and cranny there.My favorite of all time is where Greystone is now.I hunted that property and where B.P.S is now all of my young life.We had a lot of great times on those two properties.

Made a couple of trips up through that area recently going to softball tournaments. How in the Hades do you hunt those steep bluffs ? I'm more of a River bottom hunter like Troy mentioned.

Kidding, I love the blackbelt regions from Greene to Dallas county. The prairie sage and fence rows and dark soil.

Deer huntin' is easy , turkey huntin' you better be tough and in pretty good shape.

Hevishot or BFreds land. They never kill anything. Gots to be deer everywhere !

Seriously peanut fields or swamps with beaver ponds. Both make it easy to pattern Bucks.

Hurtsboro area, Fitzpatrick area, south Montgomery co. And it depends if I want numbers or size.

There are a lot of great hunting places in Alabama. Local proximity is nearly always going to bias the answers. Mine probably isn't any different. However, with the responsibility of overseeing a state and country wide hunting program, I can tell you that specific areas drive people to travel further. The Alabama river is number one. Doesn't really matter which county. Lowndes, Greene, Montgomery, Bullock are the others where I've seen it too.

For me, my favorite place is North Clarke, South Wilcox. Mostly because I grew up hunting it. We kill a few good deer. Nothing spectacular.

There isn't any deer there lol

I'm with BhamFred on this one. I love flat river bottoms filled with huge oaks that you can see 150+ in, in the middle of summer.

My favorite place to hunt is my family farm in Blount County. But, not because of the quality of hunting. Just memories.

My favorite For actual hunting reasons is Marengo/Wilcox/Dallas County areas around the Alabama or Tombigbee Rivers.

Always wanted to hunt Marengo or Dallas county. Never heard much about Wilcox county until I joined here.
